I normally can emotionally separate myself from the humanitarian tragedy of American homelessness. But I have been trying to bring my friends to meals and homeless service providers.
Their condescending prayers, their paternalistic rules, their antiseptic, cold facilities have broken my heart. It all is killing my soul. For my own mental well-being I think I have to stop taking people to these places. I just can't bare it.
